The New Internet Paradigm
In my further research on the newest trend on the Internet I have come to understand that the Whole Web 2.0 is MORE personalization than the old web. Audio and now Video are not only becoming common in marketing web sites, but also necessary to keep up.
I came to understand the phenomenon of people re-connecting in a different way. Sure the You Tubes have become novelty sites where lot’s of people meet and share video’s and other material, but they are still NOT getting much in the way of LIVE, personal interaction, like you would at a club or live event.
Because of that, You Tube continues to remain “un-monetized”. From a commercial application perspective, that is totally unacceptable.
One thing I learned in my Internet Networking business was that by bringing people together daily on live conference bridges and matching that with technological communications, the whole community developed just as if it were occurring at a live (physical) event. When my community did get together, we could quickly tell that we already knew the members by simply interacting with them daily on the phone.
The point is that if you use technology alone, you can create a novelty type meeting place, but if you really want to monetize, it has to be matched with frequent personal interaction using technology. And not just a play back.
In the absence of a live connection, there is still not that live community interaction that takes place via real time interactive contact.
So in my discussion with David Bullock, it became clear that what I call The New Internet Prosperity Paradigm is about much more than Web 2.0. Is it Web 3.0? People 2.0? Business 3.0 is probably more like it. This is truly the end game.
When a business can build highly targeted active buying communities they are in control. The community component brings people together. If the company or business is bringing real value in the way of wisdom and shortcuts, the customer become beholden to the company and community, not just as a business …. But as their complete SOLUTION.
So much trust and credibility builds through continuous live interaction that the community as a whole will find new ways for you to provide for them. It becomes a commerce machine, with you as the operator.
